Treatment overview
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to add or restore volume in selected facial areas. Treatment planning considers facial anatomy, proportion, product choice and whether filler is appropriate for the requested outcome.
Swelling, bruising and tenderness are common after injection. Less common but serious vascular complications are discussed as part of consent, together with the clinic’s emergency and aftercare arrangements.
Areas commonly considered
Dermal fillers may be discussed for selected areas such as the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds and under-eye area. They may be used to restore volume, soften deeper lines or support facial contour while preserving natural proportion.
When treatment may be unsuitable
Filler is not offered during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Active infection, allergy history, relevant medication, bleeding risk, previous filler and medical conditions are reviewed during consultation.
