Minor Surgery
Assessment and treatment planning when several skin tags are being considered for removal.

The number, size and location of skin tags affect treatment time and the most suitable method. An assessment confirms which lesions can reasonably be treated together and what aftercare will be needed.
When several skin tags are present, the clinician first confirms that the growths are typical and discusses which ones are causing symptoms or concern. The number, size, location and total treatment area influence the appropriate method, appointment length and whether treatment should be divided across visits.
Not every small growth is a skin tag. Any lesion that is pigmented, firm, ulcerated, changing or otherwise atypical may need a separate diagnostic assessment rather than inclusion in a multiple-removal session.
Multiple treated areas may produce temporary tenderness, crusting or small dressings. Friction from collars, jewellery or tight clothing can delay comfort. Each site can heal differently, and removal does not prevent new skin tags from developing later.
Lesions that are pigmented, changing or diagnostically uncertain may need a different assessment rather than routine skin-tag removal.
